The Commissioner of Revenue for Middlesex County is the Honourable Priscilla J. Davenport.

The Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue is a constitutional office of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the County of Middlesex. The Commissioner is elected every four years and is the chief tax assessor for the locality from which they are elected. The Commissioner is responsible for maintaining real estate ownership information and for overseeing the Tax Relief Program. The Commissioner is also responsible for accurately assessing all personal property, including the discount for high mileage, and for overseeing the State income tax filing process in Middlesex County .

Vehicle Decals

You are no longer required to obtain a vehicle decal for Middlesex County. A $20.00 annual license tax will be assessed to each licensed vehicle, a $7.50 license tax to each licensed motorcycle owned, and a $10.00 license tax for trailers.  This tax is included in the personal property bill. This tax is not prorated, nor refundable, and is payable by December 5 each year. Vehicle Decals and Convenience Centers

Middlesex County residents are not required to display a vehicle decal on their car. However, in order to use the convenience centers in the county, you must display the decal.
