Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks and Recreation exists to enhance the quality of life and to foster a serve of well begin and Community for the Citizens of Middlesex County. This is accomplished through management of resources and by facilitating leisure services and recreational opportunities in safe and well maintained environments.

Middlesex Gymnastics' Xcel Bronze team

took home the 1st place team trophy on Sunday, March
15th at the Monkey Mania Invitational at Triple T Sports
Center in Suffolk, Va.

Emily Bauer (age 9)- Vault: 9.1, Uneven Bars: 9.0, Balance Beam 9.3, Floor Exercise 9.25, All Around 36.65 (1st place AA)

Quilting class

Middlesex County Parks and Recreation sponsors an ongoing quilting class on each Tuesday of the month in the Puller Center at Cooks Corner.  The classes are from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and it is a brown bag lunch (occasionally we have pot luck).  The next session starts August 19,2014 and we will be making jelly roll quilt tops.  You should bring your own sewing machine and sewing supplies.  If interested come visit on a Tuesday and/or call Renda at 804 776-6215 or Karen at 804 758-0057 for more information.
