Building Permit Fees
Notes
- Whenever work has begun prior to issuance of a permit, the fee shall be doubled
- All Building Department permit fees are subject to state levy
- Church worship facilities shall be exempt from the development and construction permit fees of this ordinance
- School facilities construction utilizing school maintenance personnel or volunteer labor shall be exempt from the development and construction permit fees of this ordinance
- Volunteer fire and rescue facilities construction utilizing fire or rescue personnel or volunteer labor shall be exempt from the development and construction permit fees of this ordinance
- Permit application fees are nonrefundable regardless of whether the permit application is approved, denied or withdrawn once submitted
Building Applications
- Minimum Permit Fee: $50
- Commercial Construction: $0.20 per square foot
- Residential:
- Useable Area Under Roof:
- Mobile Homes: $0.12 per square foot
- Modular: $0.12 per square foot
- All Site Built habitable space: $0.12 per square foot
- Basement: $0.12 per square foot
- Unfinished, future habitable 2nd or 3rd floor: $0.12 per square foot
- Finish existing space after Certificate of Occupancy is issued: $0.10 per square foot
- Decks: $0.10 per square foot
- Unattached garage, sheds, porches: $0.10 per square foot
- Carports, storage buildings
- Pole shed: $0.10 per square foot
- Remodeling, alterations, structures not listed: $5 per $1,000, $500 max
- Signs: $0.05 per square foot with a $25 minimum
- Chimney, fireplace, heaters $10 per $1,000
- Fences, where required by Zoning Ordinance $10 per $1,000
- Bulkheads, jetties, piers: $10 per $1,000
- Boathouses: $0.10 per square foot
- Pools: $10 per $1,000
- Relocation fee: $0.10 per square foot
- Demolition fee: $25

Plumbing Permit Application
- Minimum permit fee: $40
- Per fixture: $5 each
Mechanical Permit Application
- Minimum permit fee: $40
- Heat pumps, furnace, etc.: $10 per $1,000
- Water, oil, commercial tanks: $10 per $1,000
Electrical Permit Application
- Minimum permit Fee: $40
- Service panel: $0.25 per ampere
- Electrical heat: $1 per kilowatt
- Temporary pole: $50
- Reconnect fee: $50
- Relocate: $50
