MIDDLESEX COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-1800, a public hearing will be held by the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors at their meeting beginning at 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, to consider the following:

  1. Middlesex County Property Lease Agreement with Tidewater Utility Construction, Inc. for the use of land owned by Middlesex County located at 2840 General Puller Highway (Map #27-122) for the purpose of staging construction equipment relating to the HRSD Middlesex Collection System at Cook’s Corner.

The hearing will be held in the Board Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 865 General Puller Highway, Saluda, VA.   All interested persons are encouraged to present their views concerning the proposed lease agreement.   Copies of the lease agreement are available for public inspection at the County Administrator’s Office, Woodward Building – 2nd Floor, 877 General Puller Highway, Saluda, VA 23149

ON A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF 

PLANNING AND COMMUITY DEVELOPMENT

FEE ORDINANCE

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at their meeting to be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, to hear public comments regarding a proposed amendment of the Middlesex County Department of Planning and Community Development Fee Ordinance. In addition to the proposed fee increases, the amendment includes new fees being established for zoning/building related matters and erosion and sediment control plan review. The amendment also proposes a $0.50 In Lieu of Fee for loss of non-vegetated wetlands.

The public hearing will be held in the Boardroom of the Historic Courthouse, 865 General Puller Highway, Saluda, VA 23149 on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 7:00 PM. Copies of this amendment are available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Department of Planning and Community Development, 865 General Puller Highway, Saluda, VA 23149, or for additional questions you may contact Planning and Community Development staff at telephone number (804) 758-3382.
