C.S.A. veteran (Captain to Colonel). Captured after Battle of Gettysburg and imprisoned on Johnson's Island, Lake Erie. President of VA State Medical Society (1904). First Superintendent of Schools in Middlesex. Painted and donated by Dr. Alfred Palmer.
